My MP3 decoder module:

Here are some pictures of my MP3 decoder board. It uses classic MP3 decoder from ST - STA015 (well the classic is actually STA013, but this one is almost the same). I used PCM1720 for DAC, it is not the best possible quality, but on the other hand it will become an MP3 player - quality is a compromise. The output buffer and cut-off filter is OPA2134 which is a very fine op-amp for the task.

Here is a link to the schematics.

Here is a picture of the top side of the board. I used classic trough-hole passive components. After all I only have two eyes and I'm not keen on wasting them while soldering surface mount resistors. Bottom of the board. Well sometimes you can not escape surface mount elements. The board looks quite dirty from the solder flux.
Close picture of the op-amp. Closer picture of the bottom of the board. The IC on the left is the STA015 MP3 decoder. The small IC on the top right side is the PCM1720 DAC. On the bottom right side is a 74HCT245 used to shift the 3.3v CMOS levels from the MP3 decoder to 5v CMOS levels used by the DAC.
